I don't really agree with this review, to me this is the best thing they've done so far. Slave is the heaviest thing they've written and not neat or nice in my view. The vocals and lyrics are angrier than ever. This record is Brendan Murphy's self hatred and isolation to the max. If you noticed on Prophets and TCWCU there were songs where he felt optimistic and had some sort of grasp on life (see Prophets, Sturdy Wings, The Optimist, Jumping Ship). There isn't any optimism on this record though.

Point is I don't see them just repeating the motions on this nor being nice.

Also, there are 11 songs not 10

"Glad to know it's "Goodbye Megaton." Fallout reference, cool. Transformers reference, not so much."

Yup. That song and song title is what won me over to these guys. I am a huge fan of the Fallout series. Incredible games.

Personally, I think "Jumping Ship" was the best one off TCWCU. The best they've ever done though, IMO, is "Soil."
