Just depends what your perception of a 3 is. For me it means a little more than half the album has good (not great) songs and some really abysmal ones. Also, I take off points for production. My band recorded one of our EP's ourselves and the quality is light years better than this album.

Agreed this needs lots of listens, but oh god if people start to actually like it they can't feel super smug about how crappy this is and laugh at all the 12 year old Karnivoolers and their plebby music tastes

Anyone who likes Themata/Sound Awake is pretty cool. Definitely worth checking this out a few more times, worth it for songs like Alpha Omega for sure

Came back to this the other night after actually not listening to it in a while. Still picking up new and cool little things every time i listen to it (the hi hat work in Eidolon, some cool little guitar licks in A.M War and Alpha Omega to name a few)
A.M War actually went from being one of my least favourite to favourite songs on the album...what a monster of a track.

Yeah A.M. War has been what I've listened to most from this lately. Although I still don't know what I think about that weak guitar intro at the beginning. It sounds so...frail.

The way that guitar riff ebbs, flows and subtly changes throughout the entire song is genius. I also really dig the chorus even though i used to have a problem with it and the transition to it.
