Good God the mastering on this is bad.

Regardless I enjoyed this more than I expected. That guitar tone on I'm no Angel is delicious, and the

fact that he plays with his fingers adds more flavour. I could listen to that melody all day

What's the difference between mixing and mastering (i am noob)

I'm no expert but I'll try to explain the difference

Mixing involves varying the volumes of each instrument in one song so that there is balance amongst

all the instruments. You'll notice some albums where the guitars are very loud and the bass is not

for example. Mixing also includes adding effects and things like that.

Mastering is adjusting the volumes of the whole song compared to all the other songs on the album so

that every song is pretty much at the same volume. It also includes adding that spark to the music

at the end. It's pretty much the final step in an album's production process. This is mastered very

badly and is too loud. You might notice for I'm No Angel's video that when the bass and drums begin

playing there's a cracking noise coming from your speakers. That's because of the mastering.

Hope that helps :P

Man,

I really love this album and I can't wait for Hot Streak.

The band really filled the void that opened for me when Black Country Communion split up in 2013.

Different style but equally impressive. Especially the first album Titan

Different style agreed Antonius, nice review as well.

But when it comes to Flying Colors, I find Second Nature to be a much better album than their debut, more cohesive due to better songwriting, and they still managed to include the hooks and melodies that were prevalent prior. It's one of my favorite progressive rock records of recent times.
