I think it would be an entertaining read and a good way to commit his/her energy to something constructive.

Sounds fine to me.

It's sad that people intentionally go around rating albums down for the sake of it. I doubt you have even listened to the album, Baseline.

I really can't wait to hear this in it's entirety. I've only heard a few songs off of the album, but
so far it sounds really promising.

It's a little hard to digest at first, but after listening to it on repeat for the last 4 hours, it has really grown on me and is by far my favourite album of the year so far. Maybe not quite a 5, but I can't choose 4.8 :P

Yeah man it's incredibly difficult!
Love your foobar setup, base

Then why keep listening to their albums? They obviously aren't for you. Though seeing that you rated a Nickleback album higher then all of Karnivools albums it goes to show that you are either a major troll or have awful taste.

All you need to do is complete your sentences with 'In my opinion' and there would be no problem. But the way that you state everything as a matter of fact is unmerited considering the sort of universal acclaim this band generally receives.

Universal acclaim isn't matter of fact either, so should all of the reviews be concluded with "in my opinion?" I don't think that's necessary. Of course it's the reviewer's opinion, otherwise they wouldn't have said it in the first place.

The songs I have heard thus far didn't impress me all that much, but neither did Sound Awake on first listen. We Are has already grown on me a ton, so hopefully the rest of the album works like that.

You've got a good point Underflow. Just a little tired of obvious trolls.

Baseline has been fairly polite in this thread, I wouldn't call their behaviour troll like.

The difference is that when I don't like something, I do not deny it's merits and call it a piece of shit. Anyway I'm over it. Farewell, sweet stranger.

@coleba Haha yeah, that track is incredible. Probably my favorite song here.

This album is more of a grower than Sound Awake. I hated The Refusal when it first came out, but in the context of the album and after listening to it the way it was meant to be heard it made sense. We Are, Aeons and Sky Machine are the most immediately memorable songs on the album, but the others grow like mofos.

Baseline makes for good thread conversation. Doesn't mean his ratings don't score high on the troll-o-
meter. Just talk about ze album.
I hope my impression changes as I get more spins in. I feel comfortable saying one thing: the title
track is as close to an audal sack of shit as one may possibly come. That most definitely won't be
changing.
