This is kinda growing off of me, it's all about Rescue and Restore and Necrocracy now.

I love the instruments on this but the vocals are really making me want to drop it to a 3.5.

But that drumming. God damn.

Karl has zero harsh vocal variation and that drives me crazy. And he has a great singing voice that he refused to use much at all. So all we get is that ONE growl for nearly the entire album. There are guest spots and he sings a little bit but it doesn't really make up for such an extremely monotonous performance. Easily the band's weakest link in my opinion.

Eh. It's just so emotionless sounding while the music is most definitely not. I feel like a different style would compliment their sound better. Something with feeling or urgency behind it. Occasionally I hear that from him but most of the time not so much. He's got a lot of power, no doubt about that, I would just like him to try something new at some point.
