Saw them twice when they were relevant (2011 and 2013 iirc), tossing up as to whether to bother with the Sydney show or not lmao.

my biggest fear is that Jason will decide to bust out some Fever 333 shite causing me and everyone in the audience to spontaneously become middle aged Octanecore dudes with trucks and a goatee

"yeah he comes in offbeat, coulda sworn I read something when it first came out that the producer messed it up but Jason liked it so they kept it lmao"
Exchange must have gone something like this:
Producer: "Ups sorry guys, let me just correct the timing here..."
Jason: "Nah homie leave it like that, that slurry shiz is so soulpunx yo!"

the remix sounds so much better, we won today

so funny when this was originally released i have never seen so many people shame the producer didn't they have to make a statement like right away
|

A statement for your bad production is wild

I remember dude basically blaming it for Jason for it lmao. this band really just couldn't stop shooting themselves in the foot, it's surprising we even got two good albums outta them

Despite recent realization that I can exhibit some vulgar behavior on stage, I am considerably prudish. Knowing this, it would seem ironic that I would choose to utilize sex as an allegory for other issues I deem worth 3.5 minutes of both your and my time, but I actually find it parallels many issues that I seem to find pertinent. In this song I was attempting to bring to attention the Lemming mentality I have observed in almost all cultures and the missteps we make when choosing to deviate. After serving an unremitting banal process it becomes much easier for our decisions to take on very rash and imprudent personalities. – Jason Aalon Butler explaining Enemies/Enemigos with Rock Sound

curious to listen to the remix of this this because i liked the album but the production was so bad that i could not rightfully give it a good score

I bumped into Jason once and he had so much time for us, he's actually a really great guy in person. I can imagine him being a bit of a nightmare to work with though lol

i remember jason saying in an interview that he stood up and shouted "this is it, this is the one" upon hearing the OG mix
that single decision likely kept them from truly making it long term. i can't imagine the rest of the band were on board
fake history should have set them up to dominate the genre. thrice and thursday were wrapping things up. glassjaw was mostly mia. it was ripe for the taking, and jason killed their chances

Good lord this band sucks.
