Honestly I think they did it for one reason and one reason only. Fake history was quickly a post hardcore classic among the core followers of the genre. its a near perfect album and the production was nice and crisp. they had a few options. Over produce it, real crisp and clean, no grit. keep It the same as fake history and risk having a fake history 2.0 or basically altering the quality and over producing it so it sounds like it's own beast. they did the last.
