What Mongi said. It's crisp enough that it blends well with the atmosphere perfectly, like strip the soul

review makes me want to check .3 again. i really need to sit down with the lyrics and listen to this whole thing. it's such an emotional experience though. the lyrics that people find cringeworthy or contradictory are all part of the psyche of the protagonist. i don't think any of us normal folk ever think in absolutes, we all have dark thoughts and grey areas and all that. i think this album kind of points out that a serial killer can be not all that different from normal folk in their thoughts, which is haunting to think about

Yea, this album is deeper than people think imo. I also never thought of this as a true concept album. More like recurring thoughts that people have along with the thoughts of serial killers.
Also listen to .3 man. Like it's so conflicting. So beautiful yet so haunting and once it has that big string/guitar crescendo coupled with the lyrics. All I think of now it like a mushroom cloud going off in the distance. Like it's such a cool sight to behold but at the same time, scary as all hell. I know I know, too deep for sput xD

i've been feeling super deep lately so its all good dude. i've wondered how muzak fits in here. like, i really dig the song, but it seems out of place to me. like steve just wanted to bitch about the music industry right quick before getting back to everything else?
definitely gonna listen to .3 in a bit
listening to gy!be lift you skinny dicks right now. still don't really know how i feel about them, but thats a different convo

It'll sink in man trust man. GY!BE are amazing.
I think that's exactly what Stevey wanted to do lol but it's still a great song despite the somewhat
misguided lyrics.
Also can we talk about this bass riff in .3? Like damn, masterful.

"i've wondered how muzak fits in here. like, i really dig the song, but it seems out of place to me."
it's a pretty mediocre song with bad lyrics imo
