i've listened to & love the first 5 albums and like H&H and haven't heard anything else by them until listening to this.not a bad album but WOW!!! a major disappointment wish i wouldn't have listened to this.sabbath are the gods of all things unholy this album just didn't do it for me!they sound very impressive musicianship-wise but the lyrics to me are pretty bad and the songs tend to really drag.when i listen to a sabbath album i expect to hear something not of this world!

Really good review, though I think I'm leaning more towards a 3.8ish. Wasn't completely blown away, but was surprised the band sounded as good as they did given all the time that has past.

There's still rumours of a 20th album to wrap it all up next year/2015 but in all honesty I'm not sure if I'd want that because if this was the album they ended their careers on, they've ended on a high note. Considering the dirge they've been known to release in the past one will always worry about whether the next album will be a triumph like this or a flop like Forbidden.
