yeah but now i finally fell in love with Varúð, hadn't listened to Valtari in like half a year until now. it's still not quite at the same level as Agaetis, Takk or this to me but definitely better than med sud

It's definitely not weak as such, but I can see why somone might not like it very much. (cool rhyming couplet right?)

i think the second half of Festival is even better than the first. but damn i can't believe how much i have overlooked Varúð, it's sooo beautiful

The thing is, Varúð is one of my least favourite song on Valtari (even though it's great), Rembihnútur is by a long way mine, plus Ekki Mukk, Eg Anda and Dauðalogn as some of the best tracks they've ever done

slowly but steadily, if it keeps growing on me i can see myself having it 5'd some day. Takk is actually growing off me a bit, i might have to lower it down to a 4 soon

That is exactly the same for me. i never really *loved* the second half of Takk though it was good. Valtari took a lot of time for me to get though, and I think it tied in with a kinda significant period in my life, so now it's sort of stuck there.

yeah, the second half exactly is what isn't that great on Takk, same goes to ( ). however Takk was the album that i heard the first and got me into these guys so it has some sentimental value for me

The title track is so good.
