I don't recall any grammar issues but then again I read this on my phone in small bursts over several hours so I may have just forgotten them.
Fun review though, I liked it. Genuinely did not know about all the Anne frank business but I guess that just goes to show you how little I've interacted with this album.
Will pos when I can get to a computer!

this is normally one of those situations where most people like to say shit like "it really needed another review/another 5/etc" but I think that when you come at a review as creatively as this one and you do a solid job it's all good
plus the fact that who gives a shit about how many reviews there are but, ya know

I might actually like Black Foliage a bit more as a collection of songs, but as a cohesive, emotional and personal listen Aeroplane is the uncontested winner.
Both albums are just incredible though, agreed.

Black Foliage vs. Aeroplane
Just not fair, I might have to go with BF because I still get to hear Jeff Mangum on I Have Been Floated anyway. Besides, Black Foliage so fucking surreal, the depth of recording that album has is untouchable by anything else.

Add me! We can find time to argue over the artists I think you've overrated (Mars Volta) and the ones you've underrated (Nicki Minaj).
Actually, you should all add me, it'd be hella fun, plus I'm good friends with staff writers on Cokemachineglow and Slant Magazine and they're hilarious.

They're pretty different, so it's a bit of an awkward comparison I suppose, but I do think Aeroplane has better lyrics as well and more moments that hit me like a knife in the chest more than most album's I've heard in my life. BF doesn't have that, but it more than makes up for it in it's brilliant, psychadelic catchiness, and it's way to whisk you away to a completely different realm - though I suppose Aeroplane has that effect as well.

It does. Not only does have Aeroplane have amazing lyrics, there is so much emotion tied to that album even in just the lyrics alone, the music and melodies just push it over the top.

Not only are the lyrics to Aeroplane great, they're also distinctly one of a kind, I cant come up with any comparison, it's inimitable.

I just don't if it's all ideas he came up with or if some of it is based in his reality or perception of it. Don't know if I care, I just know how much those songs and lyrics grab at my emotions even if they get wierd at times.
