Nah Matt, I think you're onto something. I certainly wasn't this thrilled about music last year-- I found myself underwhelmed with most major releases. This year has just been killer, though.

And thanks Chemical! Have you heard any of the band's other work?

Yeah, last year was bad, this year's been pretty strong so far, though.

And, of course, I took this recommendation from you, buddeh! It's pretty boss. I do feel like it gets a little repetitive - I think it's intentional repetitiousness, but it does tend to get a little nauseating toward the end of the album when you're on full-on intense listen mode. Or, at least, it did for me.

First listen blew me away, though.

I can see where you're coming from. The tracks at the album's beginning definitely pique my interest more as a whole, because their sound surprises you a bit. The later ones' sounds have already been explored a bit, so they aren't as exciting.

My biggest gripe with this album is that the guest vocalists' performances are pretty uneven. In particular, the one song with Heathers really irks me, when the girl comes in all the way. Which is such a shame, because the song's musical backbone in that moment is perfect.

I rather enjoy some of this.

Also, can you bring back the Jen gif? That one makes me question my romantic persuasion.
