Lol what?
First of all The National and TesseracT are hardly comparable. One is metal, the other is Indie.
Secondly, both the vocalists have different styles, The National's vocalist uses a baritone style
whilst TesseracT's vocals are more of the melodic kind albeit really bad.
Thirdly and lastly, The National's vocals are actually good and these are akin to those of modern
melodic metalcore which is definitely not a good comparison.
If you are going to bash me for my ratings at least use a comparable band and not pull one out of
your ass which is a completely different genre.

"and autotuneded"
But they weren't......that was the whole point. Only the backing vox where for effect.
Can't wait for my singed CD to come 2morrow. Only heard this 3-4 times to prevent wearing it out.

Are we talking about Periphery or TesseracT here?
If your talking about Periphery you can hear 2 vocals. One is without autotune and the other is with
it on to make a "robotic" kind of voice.
As with the song Proxy, I can't hear the autotune.

"the vocal line at 0:34 in proxy realllllly sounds autotuned to me"
Correct me if im wrong, but people tend to use autotune of pitches they can't reach. That's a simple falsetto vocal line.
I'm not really fussed if it's autotune or not tho, I went to see them in Sheffield on the 12th and he hit every note there.

I don't agree with that statement I just found it funny haha. But yes to answer your question.

it's not necessarily just for pitches they can't reach, sometimes it's just to make transitions between notes "cleaner" and
that part sounds perfectly, robotically clean. not a big deal it's just something that irks me
also i don't mind if a band uses autotune for effect, cynic uses it extensively on their new stuff and btbam uses it in their
clean parts for that "robotic" effect. its just when it's used on normal lead vocals that it seems like a crutch

Periphery's vocalist uses it for effect. Most mainstream singers use it because they just can't sing.
|

Periphery's vocalist can sing live. I've seen them live twice supporting bands.
|

holy shit..this band is terrible..and continues to be terrible.
