Wow mad noobies thinking this isnt emo. They say they make EMO MUSIC. Reviewer was alil off with the review of walls, its the second best on the album next to bloodless. These guys second cd doesnt have as much screaming but sadly its no where close to The Weak's End. I just have The Weak's End and imma keep it that way. The guys in the bands are rejects singing about love so it must be the love of god. If there third album is any where close to this i might see em live.

Uh, yeah, I don't think they're emo. I don't know real emo though, so maybe, but I doubt it.

i love emerys screaming. their singing on the other hand is bad. the lead singer (toby i think) is a poor mans geoff rickley, not that he's that great of a singer either.

Ok, may I first say this. The intro to Walls is Toby. Watch the music video and you'll see that. Josh is horrible at screaming. I believe that Toby does all the record screaming, or at least a lot of it.
Also, in Ponytail parades, Devin has the "I never thought that" while Toby builds up his line of "Don't say that we can still be friends"

I've only heard Walls.
I enjoyed the screaming a lot, as well as the lead singer's soft voice, as well as the lyrics.

their live shows are sick

The keyboardist is the screamer, while he is generic, I really like his screaming, a lot.
Agree completely, well said.

The keyboardist(Josh) is not the screamer.
Toby is the screamer on the CD, they have Josh scream for shows, but he can't do the high scream, only low.
Great CD.

I kinda like this band. But it reminds me of Thursday. And I don't like that. I seem to be the odd one out, but I think the singing in Emery's music is really good, and the screaming is borderline intollerable. However, let me clarify: Toby's vocal quality is very good, but he is off key VERY often, especially the high notes...which is what reminds me of Thursday. And the screaming is just whiney and annoying.

I'm a sucker for dual vocalists. The Ponytail Parades is one of their best songs

I went to an Emery show a few days ago and when they played Walls, one of the biggest pits I've ever seen erupted. A kid got carried out on a stretcher cause someone messed up his face. I've never been a fan of moshing for this very reason. It's not like Emery is anything to mosh to anyways.
They put on an insane show ntl. Highly recommended if you're into them.

Good album, pity it fails to get play time with me though.

"The Note From Which A Chord Is Built" is one of my favorite songs ever. I've played that song on repeat more then probably any other song.
