Phantom of the Opera is an absolute classic song of 80's metal. This is a near-classic album, though the production is incredibly lacking

true the production is kinda lacking...this is because the producer will malone lacked interest in the project and left the band themselves to produce most of the album...

i love this cd, but i prefer dickinson over MR.Dianno so i like Powerslave, Fear of The Dark, andd Their new cds too, well i love all there stuff, i heard this band when i was three and they are still my favorite.

I'm only really getting into Iron Maiden now,and in getting into bands I listen to their records in chronological order,and i must say for a debut album this is particularly good.I still prefer their run with Bruce Dickinson,which still goes strong today after his hiatus from the band but I still really love this!

I love Maiden but I gave this a three a few months ago based on what I could remember from 2-3 years ago. So I'm gonna give this another listen.
