Oh, wow.

I've been meaning to ask, what about Crazy Rhythms makes is post punk? I never understood it because

they don't really sound very post punky to me. The vocals and maybe production are understandable but

not the other stuff. Their guitar based sound is awesome but a lot more straightforward than most of

the other post punk bands I've been familiar with.

crazy rhythms is post-punk/new wave. it sounds post-punky enough to me in the same way the talking heads are i guess.

Not sure if it could still classify as post-punk itself. i will have to re-listen to be honest.

I guess. I know most people agree that post punk isn't easy to pigeon-hole like other genres like hardcore. Hell even the rym description is super vague.

I dunno, something about it just makes it seem miles and miles away from the other classics.

well they're listed as post-punk, new wave, jangle pop, and indie pop. so they were kinda a mix of them all.

As many classic as there are, it is really kinda half and half on guitar. it depends on the band really.

"While driving down a desolate interstate and jamming Juju, a simple thought occurred. I wonder if Siouxsie Sioux and Steven Severin realized when they met at a Roxy Music concert in September 1975, that those two would be part of arguably, one of the most influential Post-punk bands of all time."

I'm quite sure they wouldn't have realized this haha, but nice review. Gotta check this band and quite a few others on the recommendation from a co-worker/friend.

The album which introduced me to Post-punk. Still one of my favorites. Everything I love about music. Fucked up, dreamy, cheesy (Spellbound! Spellbound!), catchy... I loooooooooooove this. (Into the Light = Greatest song of all time)

Agreed. Last Beat of My Heart is pretty much the greatest ballad of all time.
