Review Summary: MLK's dream... mission accomplished

Before I start my review I would like to apologize to the community at Sputnikmusic.com for my behavior. Everything I have been saying is a lie, I am not educated in politics and I actually started listening to Hip Hop not long ago. I just wanted to fit in and be accepted, but I realized it wasn’t working once everyone on this website began hating me. What I need more than anything now is acceptance from this community, so I am going all out and writing the best review I have ever done, for an album that I have had a hard time admitting that I secretly admire.

Kendrick Lamar is one of the brightest spots in Hip Hop, and this album is like a beautiful rainbow of colors, especially when you think of mainstream Hip Hop. His flow is so fast that it makes other rappers seem sluggish. I love the way that he can be a romantic poet on one song (“Poetic Justice”) and a swagged-out playa on other songs. The way he romanticizes street life and drug use while also being set against them is a mixed message that never gets old, and is clearly a metaphor to represent the duality of man. Kendrick is so clever that when he says lines like
Quote:
flash from the top of your roof, your dog has to say woof
I just figure it is too deep for me and nod my head. But on other songs the gritty feeling of the mysterious Compton streets makes me want to shake my head ‘no’ as if i’m saying ‘no, no, say it ain’t so’. I used to think this album was dumbed-down, but then I realized I’M the one that is dumbed-down, because this is actually all went way over my head. In fact, this album changed my life because it showed me that most of history is real and the illuminati is fake. It’s all just a big scam to sell guns and kill the vibe of people trying to hear some good music.

The best part of this album, without question, is the beats. I could just sit there hooked up like a lab rat and listen to these repetitive beats over and over. It is like the beats were all specially designed for the lyrics or something. Every beat seems to change right as Kenrick rhymes, giving the songs a type of addictive rhythm. This is what I call swag. I didn’t get it on the first few listens, but now I am a changed man after hearing this albums beats and lyrics. I would mention an example of brilliant lyricism, but its so obvious that if you deny this you clearly don’t have any swag. In fact I disagree with everything you say from here on out on principle.

This album single-handedly saved myself and mainstream Hip Hop from death. It is so brilliant that it took me over 7 months to understand the concept behind this album, then one moment it clicked and I realized why this album is not only a classic, but one of the best Hip Hop albums of all time. It has beats, lyrics, flow, but what is really special about this album is that I am in love with Kendrick. I have been in love ever since I heard that line about his dick being bigger than the Eifel tower. On a related note, my own penis is not even the size of the Eifel tower in a 4x6 inch photograph I took last year. But I believe if I continue jamming this that will eventually change… or at least the ladies will think so. I also voted for Obama using similar logic. Hillary 2016!
