finally got my hands on this, and it's pretty sweet.

I though about 80% of this new album was really fucking good. Definately think Skoggsdotter was one of the weaker tracks, Nar Jar Marschera was standout for me, makes me wanna run around and start ripping shit down and cause havoc! actually. Ive been avoiding everything these guys have put out since after Nattfodd, but this has made a re-believer out of me..

A rather "common" Finntroll album, despite this impression that the magic that makes Finntroll what it is, is wearing off in this new LP. Where did the spark of Ur Jordens Djup go ?

Album is pretty sweet! Tracks 2 and 3 have been stuck in my head ever since I heard this, last month. The banjo surprised me on Skogsdotter. Good band.

yeh, I like the old Korpiklaani stuff too. It's just that finntroll is clearly more bm-rooted and really has very little to do with the rest of the more famed folk metal out there.

Yeah Korven Kuningas (however you spell that) is a pretty solid album throughout. The way you listed them though with the randomshitband at the end sounded like you were just throwing together a bunch of party folk bands which eluveitie definitely don't fall into. Their music actually does focus on Gaulish history and culture plus their melodeath roots seperates them from the partiers like korpiklaani!alestorm/turisas/trollfest
