I actually talked with Sacha about it back in February and it was helpful to hear his thoughts on the new direction. I've been planning this review out for quite a while so three full listens in addition to the singles was enough for me this time.

lol potsy you are funny.

"rhythm section absolutely makes this band. drummer and bassist are freaking killer " [2]
How can you say this drummer is uninspired Dimor...
I don't care how good your chat with sacha was Pedro, This review is premature.

Potato, chill. I was sure it was going to be good and I've been brainstorming by considering questions
like, "What has the band done before that led to this album?" and "the new songs are more mellow and
rhythmic, why'd they decide to do that?". When I review, I try to include the context around the album
and band and how it fits into expectations and comparables, so that's what I've been working on. I
realized I got negged for it in my Light Bearer reviews because I got caught up in the non-musical
stuff (on another note, I was indeed prepared to 5 Silver Tongue until I listened all the way through
and was a bit underwhelmed). So yes, the album confirmed what I was thinking and made for an easy
write-up once it came out, hence the quick post. Feel free to throw the fanboy tomatoes but I stand by
my review.

perhaps I should have sat on it for a while before posting but I couldn't help myself. I guess that's what the edit button is for though, in case my opinions on it change over time.

Haven't checked their albums out yet, just saw them with Meshuggah though and they were pretty awesome but it was pretty unfair because thy were playing before Meshuggah, who kind of violently them imo

yeah potsy that really hurt my reviewgina, in fact I just miscarried my premature Pelagial review.
@DarkSideOfLucca - Meshuggah's light show alone violently slaughtered everyone. that show was nuts.

so is this worth getting?
|

@pedro-Aha yeah it was one of the best metal shows I've ever been to, it was unfair to Intronaut that they had to go on before that, no opener could live up to how ridiculous Meshuggah were- where should I start with these guys?

if you like Meshuggah and the real heavy stuff start with Void. if you're into artsy post metal, go
with Valley. Prehistoricisms has a little of everything.

you'll get around to them all either way but Prehistoricisms is a great showpiece. Cavernous Den of Shame should be right up your alley.
