THe problem with rating classical music is that opposed to music that is set in stone on an album you are basically just rating a specific performance of said composition. It's like rating a Pink Floyd album by listening to one of the many Pink Floyd Cover Bands perform it at a concert.

True, we can live with that for the good of these old music genre, baroque/classical/romantic/modern ( tag Classical).

Still fun to dig on an all genre music site like sput.

Most people who've rated this have probably listened to Vladimir Ashkenazy's rendition

people who are a little bit deeper into classical music,y es. Most people just listen to the versions that have the most clicks on youtube and spotify though. At least on youtube Ashkenazy's version isn't really popular.

@budgie
you realize though that All by myself ripped the choruses melody from the third movement of Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, not from this?

"All by Myself" is a song by American artist Eric Carmen released in 1975. The verse is based on the second movement of Sergei Rachmaninoff's circa 1900-1901 Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Opus 18, famously used to underscore the 1945 British film Brief Encounter.
