Yeah man posting to check is so much quicker and easier! I'm in the same boat as you - I listened to it a couple of times and thought it was super smooth and easy and relaxing, but felt no desire to give it another spin. I'll hang onto it though, it's good background music.

utterly forgettable which, for a David Gilmour record, is a fucking shame

Well actually, considering his solo outputs, it's not such a huge surprise.

we lay side by side
between the moon and the tide
mapping the stars for a while
let the night surround you
we're halfway to the stars
ebb and flow
let it grow
feel the warmth surround you

Smile is indeed a highlight. Red Sky and the title track are among my favorites as well.

This is essentially the perfect "sitting on a dock by a lake" album. The atmosphere is incredible even if the lyrics are more than a bit "eh"

I could listen to the title track on repeat over and over again for the rest of my life

listened to this album again and i liked it a bit more this time. Some of the songs grew on me yet still, at least half the songs here are so average...

Bumped this to a 5, there's something about the atmosphere of this entire record that is transcendent in a way few other albums achieve for me.

Agreed, the armosphere on this record is really special. Only David could capture that feeling and transform it into a musical form.
