Whoooo are you
Who who
Who who

That would be telling ;)

Love this band, I'm a sucker for anthem- and stadium-rock, lol
|
| |
And yeah, Blackened Sky is awesome, maybe their best idk
|
| |
I like it more than Puzzles and maybe more than Inifinity, but I might lower this to a 3.5. There's definitely a lot of excellent songs to display here, but the second disc has too much non on-par stuff

Both are great IMO
|
| |
Well, they haven't made any masterpieces/classics or anything like that, but when you pile up their great songs, you get one hell of a collection, which is more than enjoyable live

Fair enough, that's what opinions are for

After seeing these guys live a couple of weeks back has really validated my opinion on this record: it's very average, definitely their worst.
While the majority if the set contained a collection of all their singles from the past few years, songs like "The Thaw" and "Spanish Radio" were, while not inherently bad, just boring to listen to. Especially when they play a banger like "A Day Of..." which was the surprise mosh of the night.

Well written review except you didn't mention the other great track on it 'Different People'?!?!?! This has to be one of the best Biffy songs in existence!?!?!

Tell me about it. Captain has to be the worst song ever written. EVER.

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro go large on their Garth Richardson produced 6th LP 'Opposites'. A conceptual double album filled with anthemic sing-alongs, this release is flawed but ultimately satisfying. Simon Neil's brogue & wacky lyrics return; riffs move from crunchy to angular; the rhythm section from funky to hard-hitting & there's many a twist thrown in. It's overlong at 78 minutes, but there's surprisingly little filler here. While their discography suggests they are capable of more technicality, this LP still proves that the trio are quirkier & more dynamic than their peers. Recommended Tracks: Sounds Like Balloons, Biblical, Stingin' Belle & Spanish Radio.

Nah, Accident Without Emergency is the best song and it's not on the 14-track edition.

Had to take this 0.5 down now. But still looking forward to seeing them this November, now that "57" has become part of their setlist!
