I remember listening to Bangarang and being all like "he really needs to change up his sound".
Whether I was expecting like this though I'm not sure.

I think most of us were expecting him to eventually start imitating actually talented dubstep producers.

This review pwns Skrillex to the ground.

"Crowned at the top of the “brostep” mountain under the alias Skrillex has left him at the centre of ridicule and derision by many, perhaps unfairly, considering the whole dubstep v brostep v electro confusion was never really his fault anyway and he’s at least one of the more competent producers in relation to his scene as a whole."
holy run-on sentence Batman (not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet)

This album is so plain and inoffensive in it's sound that I can't even bring myself to hating or liking it.

Can't really add anything that hasn't been said already but this is an immense disappointment. I bought into the 'brostep' thing in a pretty big way when he dropped Scary Monsters, and Scatta is still a monumental jam, but this blowed, 'Make It Bun Dem' was tinnitus on record, and 'Recess' was a barely-passable mish-mash at best.
Not to mention I can't get trap. Am I old?

your age is probably a decent indicator
