The last paragraph about comparing Big Boi to AD or Larry Johnson is odd
Questioning Big Boi's career doesn't make much sense.
See: Southerplayalistic, ATliens, Stankonia, Aquemini
unless of course you are claiming it could possibly be ALL or MOSTLY Andre?
which i dunno
the first para is kinda saying that and i just think its wrong

"lol the only people who like Andre more than Big Boi are casual hip hop fans"
Damn.. that was impressively closeminded. I've been an Outkast fan since I was in 5th grade and over their entire discography I am more impressed by 3000. That's obviously not to take anything from BB though, who is also one of my all time fav emcees.

I was being intentionally hyperbolic, I dig 3 stacks and know plenty of hip hop heads who prefer him. But none of them prefer him because they think he's a better rapper than Big Boi

I think Big is more technically able as a rapper, and is better than 99% of all rappers out there in that category, but I get more out of Andres raps, mainly because of the lyrical differences.

the mainstream judges by sound and originality and Big Boi never really had a huge amount of either.
name me another MC in 1994 that rhymed like Big Boi
until Big Boi does an album entirely on his own, which he finally did here
forgetting that he did two albums on his own before this, unless you're not counting any albums that included an Andre feature, which would be a pretty limited view. In fact, I think if you compare what Andre has done minus Big Boi to what Big Boi's done minus Andre, perhaps the question of who was the QB and who was the RB becomes a bit clearer.

I wish I could get that minute of my life back from Hilldog's post lol.
Big Boi is dope as f*ck, always has been ever since the start. After the first album 3000 and BB
worked on the production side of every one of their albums, and Big Boi was as much a part of that as
Andre was. You can't judge him simply on how creative you think his lyrics are compared to Dre when
he's behind the scenes working on the whole product. He put out his first solo album in 2003, which he
produced btw, and his best solo album yet 2 and a half years ago in 2010.
For years it's been Andres move in the game of, "who can hold their own better by themself."

yea you're right. and although it was incoherent, but his point about Andre being the more
recognizable one in the mainstream and arguably more important to their mainstream success is
definitely valid
I've just always been a Big Boi defender haha

Yeah, I feel like the reviewer doesn't know much about Big Boi and Outkast altogether lol. To say BB never really had sound or originality is blasphemous to the 'kast fan.

"the mainstream judges by sound and originality and Big Boi never really had a huge amount of either"
"I never said Big Boi doesn't have sound or originality. I said Andre has been credited with more of
both from a mainstream perspective."
So.... yeah
