that part is kind of true (not the part about them starting grunge)



while this is certainly not the first grunge release (hell its hardly even grunge tbh) it DID grab the genre by the balls and force it into the mainstream.

Bleach was pretty grungy, what with its erratic dynamics and such. The rest of their material is pretty much punk stuff.

I'd argue In Utero is grungy as hell.

this is more punky alt rock with some grunge aesthetic

BTW: I know grunge started LONG before this, I was talking about mainstream grunge. And yes, I am familiar with Screaming Trees, Melvins, Mudhoney, and all the grunge bands. If you click on my profile you can see that.

okay well I'm glad that you're at least educated in grunge. You had some good ideas in this review but like others said, it just wasn't meaty enough.
