High School is a standout track on the EP. It's a throwback to her more reserved style before Pink Friday.

I heard a Nicki Minaj song on the radio once (I didn't want to listen to the radio so it's not my
fault) and I was pissed off at its perfect awfulness for two whole months, wondering how anyone is
capable of enjoying her music. I still don't get it, and I hope I never have to experience it again.
I can tolerate most radio shit but Nicki just gets on my nerves so fucking much.

"perfect awfulness" describes nicki minaj pretty well i think

You guys are really over-hating stuff like this, as I pretty much expected you would. It's good hip
hop, nothing amazing, and definitely nothing with that much integrity, but it's decent stuff. It's
really animated and colorful music, which is a welcome break from the cardboard personalities of most
males in the modern rap scene. Also, Minaj may be no diva, but she can definitely flawlessly alternate
between hip hop and pop music that has a much needed aggressive edge.

i think she's hilarious--especially i'm legit and i endorse these strippers
some people probably think her weirdness is put-on (although i find that it would be hard to back this up except for "i don't like it!") but i think it's fun and i also think the beats are actually sorta awesome in a trashy way, although sometimes they're quite pretty ("freedom", "champion", "save me")
i get not liking her--totally get that--but i have a genuine moral obligation to call andcas out on his bizarre hateful shit
|
| |
I don't know. I just can't dig into her stuff.
|
| |
it's all good man she's pretty abrasive and love-it-or-hate-it
as long as you don't arbitrarily chain your dislike of her music to some moral imperative or that she MUST be an awful "slut" because her music sucks we're all good
|
| |
Hahaha, nah. I just don't like her music, that's all.

I'm gonna let you think about that one, breaking.
Also, I'm really hoping you mean mainstream modern rap scene because pretty much all of them are
crapshit as well.

he's right i'd say

andcas, it's like you go out of your way to search negative things about artists to justify your hatred of them
|
| |
Yeah. I don't give the slightest fuck about her persona or whatever else. I just think the music's
terrible.
