Also, there's a song called Half Right on New Moon by Elliott, is that like a demo of the Heatmiser song or something?

um i can't remember haven't listened to either new moon or MCS for a while but that's probably the case

different versions of the song 'see you later' appear on each album so it's prob same story for half right

Sweet defs check out Invented first and lemme know what you think.

On XO now, have to say the lo-fi production suited his style better but there's still some great songs. Waltz #2 rules and Baby Britain's like a Beatles tribute.

will do!

yeah from all accounts he loved the beatles a lot

some heartbreaking songs on xo - pitseleh, waltz #1 etc but some happy jams too

was my springtime 2011 windows down driving album haha

Can imagine that, it's definitely more upbeat musically but it doesn't sound like the lyrics were much happier. I get a George Harrison vibe from a couple songs here which is a great thing, my favourite Beatle.

Also, the falsetto on Waltz #1. Fuck me. Everything about that song. Best one I've heard so far tied with the Biggest Lie, that shit was crazy.

Do you have a favourite song by him?

extremely difficult question... most days i'd say 'king's crossing' or 'twilight' but really there are maybe 20 songs that could be my fave

right now it's 'everything reminds me of her' cos i'm in the midst of a shitty breakup and it's basically my theme song haha, perfect song

yeah man i already loved the fuck out of the 'everything reminds me...' anyway though, great great tune

yeah KC and twilight are both on basement

some of the lyrics on basement are really fucking heavy (that's the album he was making when he died)

add 'a distorted reality is now a necessity to be free' to that list

Dunno if I'm gonna have time to check Basement or New Moon tonight, would be up until like 3. But Figure 8 rules and I'll definitely check the other two tomorrow.
