Even if he rules, quiting Kamelot was the right decision imo.

Apparantly his voice was getting tired. I mean look at his performance at Wacken (somewhere on youtube), it is painful to hear.

Yeah I've also read something along those lines now that you mention it. Maybe it has to do with both reasons, who knows?!

Sacrimony is the best song the band has had since Center of the Universe.

Overall not as good as Poetry (I think I am the only one who likes this album), but it's better than Ghost Opera.

Sacrimony is a tough song to get out of your head, no doubt. I wish they elaborated or extended the ending even a few second longer. The payoff with the vocals from Tommy and company is just so great.

Gotta give Tommy credit

his Roy Khan imitation is pretty damn good

Liking Tommy much better in SW. I almost feel like the lower part of his range he has to sing in with Kamelot is sort of a handicap on how amazing singer he is.

Can't decide whether this is a 3.5 or 4. Some songs are amazing, while others, like My Confession, suck. If they had let Tommy sing in his own style to a greater degree it definitely would have been better.

I agree with the review on this, but I do like "Ashes To Ashes" on this. Also, Tommy's voice isn't indistinguishable but it is close.

And to answer NoMeansYes's question about Roy, I heard that he suffered a mental breakdown after a show and that's one of the reasons why he left. I wouldn't say he ditched, but it probably was the right decision to leave.

The song Silverthorn, I thought, is a pretty good song as well. But Poet does have some really good picks.
