They just heard the singles from the two albums after this and were like "oh they have another album before they were famous and was slightly better?!" Better give this album a 0.5 higher than those albums but that's still gonna be a 2 or 2.5 anyways.

then again, always dug fall out boy's poppier sensibilities, and this album's praise feels like its derived from the backlash following the band's explosion into the top 40 by way of the cork tree singles. which are mostly better than what this cd offers...
