This pleasantly surprised me. I loved BT I and II, but I really, really disliked their last album.

^Likewise. This one may just be their best though, just beats out II because it has less filler.

"Billy Talent holds a special place in my heart being the probably the first band I ever discovered all by myself like a big boy." This is so fucking true. I'm totally gonna check this album out now. Sure hope you're right about the revival of energy!

I am relistening once again. Man is it justifying my 4, and now I really want to go 4.5. I simply love

the music and lyrics in this album. I feel like I'm in 7th grade rediscovering Billy Talent...it is

just amazing.

Cure for the Enemy is finally growing on me. What a song.

Following much-derided predecessor 'III', energetic Canadian punks Billy Talent ditch the numbers & release another satisfyingly consistent album in 'Dead Silence'. In addition to the band's knack for driving guitar riffs & shout-along choruses, Ben Kowalewicz's snarling votal bite is back, as are the socially themed & politically fueled lyrics. While it is bloated (14 tracks at 54 minutes), won't exactly win new fans & doesn't reach the heights of the quartet's excellent 1st 2 LPs, 'Dead Silence' should ultimately please Billy Talent's fans. Recommended Tracks: Viking Death March, Man Alive!, Runnin Across the Tracks & Love Was Still Around.

This one has become it's own monster. I couldn't imagine a better way of Billy coming back to punk-rock. It definitely needs more attention!

It took you THAT long to like Cure, Tranta? I knew it was a standout the first time I heard it, and I knew it was their best song the second time around.

I immediately liked the opening riff but the overall song did take some time for whatever reason.
