From my perspective in the UK seeing their rise, it seemed like they were a weird exception where it became cool to like THEIR breed of weird, but nothing else. Definitely know a lot of people who like this album but like very generic stuff otherwise

yep they were really big when I was in secondary school with people who listened to Kodaline, Imagine Dragons etc.

usually people who had unfounded pretensions or thought they were alternative because they wore tortoise shell glasses
