Austin Carlile announced that he's leaving the band, now this band will truly die

I'm not ready surprised to be honest, as long as he's doing whats best for his health I'm happy. Can't say I'm interested in the band's future though, especially after Cold World.

Or they only went softer because Austin's screaming was legitimately hurting him and they'll recruit a new screamer or have Aaron do it and get back to heavy shit.

The cleans on this album are really good, i.e My Understandings. Can Shayley sing that well live?

Album's arguably one of the best modern metalcore albums in existence, and easily the best one of this decade so far tbh.

It's one of the best metalcore records of this type for sure, but I wouldn't go that far

I'd very easily go that far; this album has the perfect blend of heavy and melodic, produced spectacularly, and has two of the best vocal performances in the genre. (Name one other metalcore band that has a vocal dynamic as high quality and infectious as the one Austin Carlile and Shayley Bourget had)

If we're broadening it up to all metalcore, then Erra destroys this with both Impulse and Augment

Erra from 2009-2014 was magical, easily my favorite band. Nowadays without Garrison behind the mic, and without Alan doing the melodic leads and riffs, they are lackluster imo. Impulse and Augment are true masterpieces

I jammed a few tracks from Augment a while back and remember it being around a 3.5
