It's a pretty decent album, I definitely enjoy some tracks off of it such as Failure, Zombie Autopilot and Bloodlust of the Human Condition, there are a few other decent songs, but sometimes, the songs can seem kinda bland the with open note, palm muting stints they go on.

I've come to the conclusion that this is the best metalcore album out there.

Yeah i agree about the guitars. Still Remains doesn't have anything special but I think they're better mainly cause of the vocals. I hate metalcore vocals and Still Remains is easier to listen to for me. Still, Unearth is definately better than all those other poser metalcore bands out there.

Damrod, Heaven Shall Burn's "Antigone" CD I thought didn't even compare to this offering from Unearth, but hey if it's good with you etc

As for "The Oncoming Storm", I'd say I could listen to about 5 out of the 11 tracks at any time, because I enjoy them so much and how the drums and guitars sound so fluid together...but it's not an album I can listen to all the way through, no way

Oh and Blokus, Still Remains are light years behind Unearth, sorryThis Message Edited On 06.29.06

Did you read my post? I think Unearth is better musically i can just listen to Still Remains easier because of the vocals aren't like XHaRdCoReX TO THE MAX!!!! I just can't stand metalcore. I love Unearth though.

"usually he sounds like half of the other metalcore vocalists in the scene today."

I could pick out trevors voice in a crowd of cd's pretty easily, if you dont care for his voice fine, but make a better case, "it sounds like everything else" is a cop out, and comparing him to howard jones? or "a mediocre" howard jones, the two sound nothing alike.... i agree that there are singers in metalcore that sound almost identical but trevor isnt one of them.

Even though In the Eyes of Fire is better, I think about 7 times out of 10 I like listening to this more. The Great Dividers, Failure, This Lying World, Zombie Autopilot and even Aries, they're all awesome. This Message Edited On 08.01.08

Thought that was a typo at first, then I got it. The breakdown near the end of that song is awesome.

I love Lie To Purify still. It's about the only song I'll listen to from Unearth anymore.
