It took me a while to realize you could hear one guitarist in the left ear, one in the right one and a fuzzier third one (i guess singer's guitar) in the middle. I love how well its mixed overall.

I watched the first few songs, and half the time the singer wasn't even playing his guitar, lol. That's what made me think of it.
I didn't even know they had a 3rd guitarist when I wrote my review. I think I read someone else's review of this a while back, so I grabbed my headphones and listened to try and pick it out after they mentioned it.
It seems like every time a band has 3 guitarists, they never actually use all 3 of them enough to justify it. I have only heard a handful of bands that have done it, but still...

It gets a little samey in parts, but, yeah, it's pretty great.

It's a blast of nostalgia for me; I still love it.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing about them back in the day, unfortunately. I bet I would have liked this way more back when I was first getting into post hardcore than when I first heard it back in '12, so I would probably feel the same as you.
Kind of like with Dead Poetic. I don't know if I would like New Medicines near as much as I do if I would have listened to it for the first time within the last couple years than back over a decade ago.

Yeah, Dead Poetic, Haste the Day, some LIYW, Norma Jean, stuff like that has been in my library for the better part of 7-8 years, if not longer. I just love revisiting the music because it gives me so much nostalgia.

This album is a cut above the rest of the similar stuff mentioned in the comments.
I think the decision to mostly separate the the heavy and more melodic passages works brilliantly for this album, and it's part of what keeps it in my library even when I've move past the sound in general. That said, I think it's best that they broke up... a lighting in a bottle situation.

Randomly found this cd in a local store the other day for a buck, sadly the first track skips (could be due to some scratches on the cd though since it was secondhand.) But yeah this is still really good and if someone would tell me it was a recent release I'd probably believe them.

Such a mad underrated Solid State group and was gone way too soon.
Then what most of the members did with Advent was also incredible. Glad I have all their releases on vinyl.

Solid State was my go-to label for stuff like this as a high schooler in 2005/2006. So many good bands. Kinda surprised so many people on here have heard of these guys.
