I have no animosity about Wade being the replacement. I genuinely had high hopes for him, but he is

just so monotonous to listen to.

No emotion.

No range or variation.

Poorly written vocal lines(barely catchy and not interesting)

The best moment on the album(Steph's vocal section in Austere) is when Wade isn't doing

anything.

P.S. I love alexisonfire

this is nowhere near as bad as the EP

Wade is the definite weak point though. Get absolutely nothing from his vocals and his lyrics make me cringe

I absolutely hate Wade's vocals but the music is at least better this time around. This is like a 3-3.5. Can't touch Grey Britain

it's a low 4 at the moment, but I might have to change it down later

I don't really appreciate the more simplistic approach to the music. There aren't any chilling moments like the bridge from "Graves". I think Outsider Art is my favorite from this

Bridge on Graves is one of the best moments on Grey Britain.

This is still nowhere near as good as Grey Britain.

I feel like this is good, but I have no desire to listen to it again. Is that weird?

That's a pretty awesome set review man, pretty much what I thought a concert with Wade would be like. Band would be fine but playing boring hardcore, Wade just shouting things, and a set list focused on new material. Glad I saw then with Frank

While the jury was out following the ‘Death Is Birth’ EP, a positive verdict has been returned for the now Wade MacNeil fronted hardcore punk outfit Gallows. On their self-titled 3rd LP, the quintet deliver another relentless barrage of ferocious energy; with snarling & angry vocals atop gritty & hard-hitting musicianship. Littered with gang vocals, the surprises here are the anthemic nature of the melodic hooks & the removal of any filler. It may be a less distinctive Gallows but it is one more universal in scope, on what is their most consistent release to date. Recommended Tracks: Depravers, Cross of Lorraine, Victim Culture & Odessa.
