YES. Agreed so hard, don't get why this got so little appreciation here.

Me too, I think it's their best era. This one, Monumension and Below The Lights.

viking era is still the best but agree the stretch of this, monumension and btl is really good too

Viking era is my second fave, so we kind of agree haha!
I still haven't figured out what specifically is missing from their post BTL albums that make them less enjoyable to me. What about you?

Haha yeah, you've got opposite preferences from mine for Enslaved right?

That clean riff in Æges Draum is so delish. And the subsequent passages too. Love the guitar tone, the vox, the atmosphere, the intensity, the creativity, the mix here.

there is definitely that final punch missing from most of them, axioma kind of nailed it though

Love the Transmetropolitan avatar, Dewinged! I haven't heard this album or Monumension so I might give those a listen. Enslaved have never disappointed me thus far.

Hell yeah Veldin, Spider is the man. Same here, first time jamming this, it's amazing so far, raw, fast and heavy.

This indeed is amazing. I like this phase of them the most, exactly enough proggy weirdness and still raw and urgent enough. After Below The Lights I have not liked any of their records anymore though, which is a pity.

Guitars here sound like they could cut wood, which is fine for a short album but after an album I felt my brain shrinking and my ears bleeding.
They were bleeding awsmness though, cause the album's great but still.

Jamming this during breakfast now. Such a great album. I get what you mean by the guitars haha. Love it. So many great riffs and melodies too.
Happy you liked this Dewi!
