Hey Dev, great review. I'm really liking this a lot, though I definitely agree that this lacks the cohesiveness of There Is Love In You. Four Tet is one of the most distinctly melodic electronic artists that I've come across in my limited experience, and I think this accounts for why I love his work so much. It's also very textured and emotionally profound, which I also dig. Can you recommend anything from this year that's similar to this?

Shocked at how well this record works tbh. Some really great stuff. First two tracks don't really do anything for me though, and "Pinnacles" seems misplaced as a closer.

I bought this album on impulse because I had spent hours on Emusic already and needed to finish off the credits left and gtf on out of there. It is the only Four Tet I own and I don't listen to it all that much tbh. 'Lion' & 'Pyramid' I remember liking, but Four Tet is not really my style. I get them mixed up with Squarepusher for some reason. Also good, but also not my preferred electronica listenings to.
