It's just fairly common to start with Children of God or The Great Annihilator. They're best representatives of Swans as a whole.

i like the record, but after i listen to the whole thing its hard for me really remember what parts were awesome and what parts needed a pick up. I just get sucked into this vortex of Swans.
I would still say Soundtracks is their best and honestly i still prefer My Father due to it not being such a daunting listen, but still being all Swans.

yea White Light was the first Swans i checked out too. a couple of years back i thought it was boring. now i still find it p boring.

This is also the first record i've heard from them, though i had already heard from them before.
Shouldn't really be that is the first time many people, Swans isn't really very big, though i get the
feeling they'll be after this album.
When was the last time so many people were already calling an album classic when it was only out for a
few days(and technically this isn't even out yet lol)?
