Man. Where to start. First off can't believe you settled on a 4.5 after you previously said 3.5. Second, I was like whoa tl;dr but I read it and that review was incredible. Like incredible. I may have to bump mine up after reading this. Album rules. Well done, sir.

Also wow "Ten" is depressing.

I'm always initially underwhelmed by YC albums for some reason, but they always grow on me. Right now it's a 4-4.5, and I'm giving it the speculative upper end of that range because if history repeats itself this will only get better with time.

While I agree with you, the two albums post hiatus were different for me. I loved them both from the get go. Previous efforts that was definitely true though

"They should do a double feature of our reviews. Just have half of the front page be Yellowcard."

No, no, you misunderstand. All will be revealed in a day or so.

S/t or LD?

Self Titled

Also Davey, I'm sure your review will expand on all the areas I left out. I tried to cover everything as to snuff out your writing process but nobody's perfect ;)

It better be. Love Drunk was terrible (although I did enjoy Contagious because it sounded like it was straight off s/t).

I liked Heartbreak, Real Thing, and Love Drunk for some reason - I'm kind of ashamed but not at the same time.

Anyhow, I can see enough parallels in 'Here I Am Alive' to draw the comparison...but to be fair Yellowcard is better at being Boys Like Girls than Boys Like Girls is.

^ haha too true. But yeah it sounds like their s/t.

And like you I thought Love Drunk had a few keepers but tons of trash

I think you forgot that one track, featuring a certain Taylor Swift *ahem* Also, I'm a sucker for certain kinds of ballads and Go is just so touching. Sometimes I regret giving it a 1.5, other times, I remember how disappointed I was listening to it.

"but to be fair Yellowcard is better at being Boys Like Girls than Boys Like Girls is."

Especially now, did you hear their newest EP? Atrocious. Worse than boy band-bad.
