You did a nice review, but it seems a bit unfocused as you jump from one topic to other. Have a pos for your effort.

That is maybe the first comment that accually gives me some info.
Well, I'll just keep writing and improving myself.

Rust In Peace >>>>>> God.

I dont really have the right to say anything, becuase Im not a good reviewer, but I still would like to point out some things.
Firstly, just remove the part about you listening to Peace Sells, and Rust IN Peace, and then Peace Sells, and then Rust In Peace again, this have nothing to do with the album and I have no idea why would you put that part in the review.
Secondly, stop using the same words over and over again. RIFFS RIFFS RIFFS VARIATION VARIATION VARIATION. This makes the review VERY difficult to read. Try using synonyms or just writing about other things.
Another thing that bugged me is the song-by-song review. I used to do that too, but now I see what is annoying about it.
Lastly, its kind of weird to see you talking about you torrenting this album not so long ago, and in the same time talking about how classic it is and how people used to trade demo-tapes instead of torrents.
Other then that, you really remind me of myself after listening to this album back in the sixth or seventh grade, just that I was more of a Metallica fanboy back then.
P.S: Your guitar improvisation thinking is totally wrong! Playing the right notes is what makes the power chord major/minor, or a major chord 7/maj7 and so on.
E.g: If somone plays the C chord and you play B it will sound like Cmaj7.

BTW: KMB>PS>RTL>RiP>AJFA>MoP

ViperAces, you have a good point there about the choice of words.
However, It is kind of hard to use other words when you are reviewing a metal album.
About the downloading thingy, I download things because I first want to know if it's good. By now, I have bought the cd, because I thought it's worth buying.
Everybody knows that this is a classic album, it's an oldie but goodie.
People just search that on the internet and place it everywhere in the reviews.
While I like downloading, I also like the idea of underground music trading.
The Kirk Hammett solo thing is still a mystery.
I can listen to jazz(with all the unusual chords) easily, but I really don't like Kirk's solos. What I did, I played Kirk's solo on a keyboard while I put MoP on.
Some notes really sounded bad. These notes were the notes that define Major or Minor.

Yea Kirk sucks since RTL.
| | | i don't know if you know flutter, but we've been bros for a few months already

Hey ViperAces, you know why Kirk sucks since RTL?
On Kill 'em all, he stole Mustaine's solos.

Note: I might have underrated MoP and RiP a little bit.
I am a thrash metal fan, and I liked the riffs of these albums, but it was not exactly what I wanted. However, when reviewing thrash metal, it may be better to just listen it without thinking too much and let the music speak for itself.
The problem is, there is accually nothing really bad about these albums, but there is very few that really stands out. However, thrash metal should make a really constant listening experience, and seeing as there is nothing that's accually bad, I could also give these albums a 5 out of 5.

Bitch plz, there is loads on MoP that stands out, and a quite a bit on RtL
The constantness of thrash (here, monotony) gets kinda annoying tho

Well, when I heard these albums, I needed to listen them a few times before I could accually like it. When an album is really good, and haves things that really stand out, I think that would not be necessary. I would just listen to it one time, and be amazed by it. Why I did not give this a 5 out of 5, is also partly because I still need to find the best thrash record ever made. If Lightning to the Nations was a thrash album, that would be the best thrash record ever. Unfortunately, it isn't.
Also, MoP and RiP don't really make me want to bang my head, only if you put it on full volume. For a perfect album, I think volume should not be an issue.
However, I am willing to listen the albums I review on a louder volume from now on.
| | | Have you heard Heathen - Victims of Deception?

Well, looks like Dave's brain is rusting in peace now honk honk honk

ViperAces, I know. But for some people it might see it as underrating, because they think the album is perfect. I see no real flaws on this album, but it misses some excitement here and there. By the way, what is digging exactly?
I see that you are digging an album i'm gonna buy tomorrow.
