AoTW is better than Sacrament IMO, and AtPB is better than both.

AoTW was excellent. It just lacked in terms of a some monotony here and there with the riffs and Randy's vocals weren't up to par with Sacrament. All opinion of course!

^^^^^Thats one single reason why this doesn't deserve to be atop of AoTW or Sacrament! Plus, another downer about this album is the constant fact that every guitar riff has to have as many notes shoved into it as possible. Sometimes a little subtlety and patience goes a long way (ie. what they did on Sacrament)

Great thing about Lamb of God is that they change their sound so much with each new album that comes out. Much appreciation for a metal band with the ability to refresh their albums' sound. Personally I think this band is on a slight slope downhill. This to date is their best release.

I've never really liked the growling vocals of bands like Opeth, even though have to admit they're spectacular and you've gotta be very advanced as a vocalist to do that. They just aren't enjoyable at all, I don't find. However, Lamb Of God are among the few bands that I can enjoy who use that sort of vocals (All That Remains are varied, sometimes I like it, normally when it's only a couple of words that the vocalist growls on, but often I don't). It's a good review, I'll probably buy the album in the not-very-near future.

that's odd cause Randy Blythe (Lamb of god) is actually a pretty terrible vocalist while Mikael Ã…kerfeldt (Opeth) is one of the best metal vocalist out there

I kinda realise that, I just enjoy Blythe's vocals more. I'm a metal noob, basically, I reckon I'll like Opeth in a few years time beyond belief.

I wouldnt say Randy Blythe is a terrible vocalist. He's actually pretty good, but its kind of unfair to compare him to one of the best metal vocalists ever Mikael Akerfeldt.

I mean no disrespect, although of course it's gonna come across like that. It's just that I can't enjoy Akerfeldt's growls, though I'm sure I will. I have no idea why, but that's just how I feel.

I've got to admit, when I first got into metal I didn't like Opeth all that much.

Revisited this last night because of Wrath's release and got bored around halfway through. The big drum fill near the end of Ruin is spectacular, though.
