Agreed. A lot of the transitions and writing feel careless. A lot of chugga-deathcore moments. There's a lot of wow moments though, this band is brimming with potential.

Good review, Omaha. Pretty much everything I've been trying to get myself up to write, but every time I listen to this album I just get so bored.

Listened to the album a few more times and it's definitely sounding better. I doubt the band will ever top Exoplanet though.

Thanks for the warm welcomes, guys. ^_^ i just want to quote two comments that are spot on.

"on Exoplanet the ambient parts worked so well because they served as climaxes and compliments to the heavy parts, on this the roles have switched, except they haven't written the songs well enough to make the heavy parts as climactic as they should be"

"It's not necessarily the heaviness I don't like - it's the fact that when it does get heavy, it's painfully average, generic, devoid of melody or character, etc, etc."

Exoplanet had breakdowns galore, but they were a blast to listen to. They're so forced here, and are a major letdown for a big fan like myself.

Schizophrenik - I looked at the sentence you were examining, and while I was able to see your reasoning I could also see why it would work. I just changed it to be safe - thanks for the heads-up.

Lmao Deviant, you were right. I wanted to involve the album title in the summary somehow, but it just didn't work well. Approve of the new one? ;D

Fantastic review, though I disagree. Exoplanet didn't do anything for me, though I am a bit biased since I dislike "deathcore," so I was happy to learn they went more for the ambient than the brutal.

Thanks man, and I know what you mean. Exoplanet was the only "deathcore" I've ever cared for, because it really just felt like it was done tastefully - other than this, I've never listened to the genre.

And nice dig!

I really enjoyed the review. While this may not be a classic, it definitely shows an exceptional amount of potential from this band. In the meantime, I'll waiting for their next release.

Just listened to Geocentric Confusion and it was just really boring. Back to Exoplanet for me.

i think i agree with this. i skimmed, but your touch on them struggling for an identity is valid. truth be told, the band does have a classic in them, in regards to someguest denouncing that, maybe this album came too soon? this isn't a natural step but one not shocking.

Oh, I'm surprised. I expected masturbation. RYM is more enthusiastic about this album... I'll definitely check it out, it goes without saying

Thanks :]

On the other threads everybody thinks this album is the greatest thing ever, but in this thread most people seem to agree with me. Interesting.

Fantastic review good sir. I will still check this out since I quite like Exoplanet, and I saw these guys live just two months ago, and they were a hella good. Plus the band members are really nice guys.

Anyways, have a pos :3

Great review, I agree with pretty much everything said. I found this album to be painfully boring, one listen through is plenty for me.

I was hoping that if they did go for a less heavy sound we would hear more beautiful hyper melodic sections like in Flourish or Oscillator, but noooo, they just got extremely dull.

His cleans are so god damn boring.

The more I listen, the better it gets. Getting easier to ignore the bad deathcore sections.
