my biggest problem with this is that it's astonishingly unfocused. it seems like there's randomness for the sake of randomness. more so than btbam, dare i say? i'd probably give this a three but i've been lazy on rating stuff so why start now?

all that interesting at all. The clean vocalist didn't really bother me in this one though.

After listening to this, I have to say I'm disappointed. I don't care that it's less "brutal" like some people do. I liked the ambient parts on Exoplanet a lot and have thought for a while that they would eventually evolve into something like this. But the ambient parts on the last album had huge buildups and really brought the song together. On this, it seems like the guitarists are creating nice meandering passages for the hell of it and forgot to bring them to a close. None of these songs felt like they should have finished like they did. Also, the lyrics are kind of ridiculous and the vocalist doesn't really have a whole lot of power behind his cleans.

Lyrics are awesome, and right up my alley. They share my perspective on the questions of what life is. Also, lol at the mods removing this from Popular Albums all together. Its funny how shallow they can be.
