Nothing of what you said actually makes sense. It doesn't matter how you try and spin it.

you're saying that just because someone isn't using a guitar/bass/wtv doesn't have the same level of musical expertise as someone who does use them. that's wrong, it's a different KIND of expertise that would be just as hard for someone who only plays with instruments and knows dick all about programming, etc

Yeah exactly, thats pretty much it. The technical side of music, as in playing an instrument, knowing guitar techniques, drum variations and so on. I hadn't made myself clear, no doubt.

The mash up of points of authority and faint rules, I fuckin hate the mash up of numb and encore, is like mixing sushi, vanilla ice cream, ketchup and yogurt in a bowl.MTM and ATS are not the worst thing in the world were inconsistent cuz it has a lot of pointless and boring songs and the experimentation was unfocused, otherwise I enjoyed some tracks of those like Given Up, No More Sorrow, What I've Done, When They Come For Me and Burining in the skies, living things is a step forward , despite of having bad songs like skin to bone and lies greed misery it has consistent tunes like lost in the echo and castle of glass .

I enjoy the 2 work of periphery more than the recent albums of LP ,but the old shit of chester and co is timeless. Comparing both bands is unaproppiate because they play different music, their context is not the same, the influences are different and their don't share the same strengths and low points. They only thing both bands share is the amount of hate the receive of purists rock and metal circles which also they share with almost every act of genres like djent, nu metal, metalocre, deathcore, glam metal, and in some cases with alternative metal, power metal and industrial acts which are hated by some purists.

The only genres actually worth going over in terms of musicianship are Metal/Rock, Jazz and derivated subgenres of said genres.

I don't agree with that but people have a different taste, you should check some experimental electronic music, trip hop and shit like that.

Yeah well, but i meant in terms of technique. No doubt, like i said before every single genre has its great musicians. But some use macbook pros to make music, while others actually play notes and such. Thats the division i was drawing.

And damn Vermicide, spot on.

There should be only one division to be drawn and that's: is this music enjoyable, yes or no.

Music prorgrams and guitars etc etc etc etc are all instruments. The music program stuff though isn't as respectable.

Put that in your hands and facepalm it. =)

You should always use a physical instrument, i hate programmed drums etc, except on that one fear factory album where the drums were passable

Nah there's a lot you can do with programz that you can't do with guitars drums vox etc etc. Still def not as cool as those though and not as vital either
