Ragnarok is a sweet song. I personally like change ups in most songs after I've listened to it a few times and I don't feel like these guys make shitty sounding changes. Clear EP isn't terrible but it just wasn't that great because each individual made their own songs and the EP sounded disconjointed. Periphery as a whole though, make music I really enjoy.

Their heavy ones as mentioned before (Make Total, Zyglrox, The Walk) are among my favorites too. That being said, I loved Luck As A Constant. I just can't listen to this band just instrumental. I like Spencer's voice a lot (not sure why so many people hate him) and I feel like it makes the music a lot more fun to listen to and kinda jam with. That's just me though. Instruments alone are fine, but I tend to get more involved when I can follow the vocals/lyrics. An instrumental song in the middle of an album is a wonderful breather for me.

Honestly I'm surprised I like him, usually I hate it when I guy sings in a high pitched voice

his voice is obnoxious more than it is bad. half of his singing is rody walker-esque bluesy runs which i feel doesn't

fit the style at all. lots of the hooks he sings are really complicated and overdone, which distracts from the musicianship

(main focus of this style of music). his harsh vox are passable at BEST and are often really weak and forced. also his voice

in general is really dramatic and flamboyant which again, i feel, doesnt fit their style at all /opinionz
