This band is so freaking fantastic and I don't like pop punk. I'm considering giving both their albums 5's. I've never actually seen them live but I've seen videos and I'm amazed by how spot on they are.

How have I never listened to these guys before? Downloaded this this morning and have listened to it five times today. It's been a while since an album resonated with me so quickly.

Searching for that sweet spot between pop & punk, Californian quintet The Story So Far impress on their debut LP 'Under Soil and Dirt'. Energetic from the get-go, lead vocalist Parker Cannon sets the scene for his musicians by finding a nice balance of raw aggression & catchy melodies. Relentless drums & a tight dual guitar attack complement many a shout-along chorus, but the band's songwriting nous shines through in the sincere & relatable lyrics. At 32 minutes in length & with no discernible dud track, this very - maybe too - consistent LP thankfully doesn't outstay its welcome. Recommended Tracks: Swords and Pens, Mt. Diablo, High Regard & Quicksand.

High Regard is my favourite TSSF song. Come to think of it actually, one of my favourite songs ever.

Closure is amazing. Lyrics are so damn good. ''I know what l want, don't need what l get, l invest my ideas, but get swallowed in debt'' Best lyric on the album imo.
