This album is atrociously mixed in my opinion. It all feels very loose and often gets into boomy
territory. The ambient sections are great! But... when the instrumentation gets heavy, the vocals
get smothered. It subtracts from the impact that vocals had on "Absolute dissent"(still poorly
produced & mixed but Coleman was much more audible & present).
To add to that, there is almost no dynamic range. It becomes difficult to sit through the entire
album
without becoming fatigued.
Thinking of lowering my rating =(

Their last couple of albums have had really terrible mixing, it's sad. I think they really need some outside help with the production.

I think this album is a bit heavy on the bass, but IMO, it sounds great. Absolute Dissent sounds like shit but the songs def make up for it. Got Brighter Than A Thousand Suns in the mail today. Gonna crack into it as soon as I can pull myself away from this album.
