Infinite Fire is no doubt my favorite track on here. I've heard this album multiple times, and I just bought the digital download of the album for $5.

The new Neal Morse album absolutely destroys this.

so far the music I've heard was pretty good, but

the artwork is the bast part lol

EDIT: Now that I've listened to the whole thing it is sounds pretty uninspired, the opener and the

closer aren't bad(but they sound like Transatlantic) and Kayla is an excellent and catchy "prog pop"

song, but the rest is so meh, some of the riffs sound incredibly familiar...too familiar

Steve Morse' best work is with the Dixie Dregs, then it's with his solo album. The dregs stuff is fantastic though. And you can't compare this to AMob, different motives.

I'm not comparing the music, I'm just saying that Adrenaline Mob isn't good and that this is good haha.

The only real problem I have with this is that there is too much ballads. Everything Changes or Better than Walking Away could have been cut.

I still haven't listened to this completely, need to be in the right mood. But I hear what you're saying about AMob. I heard 2 or 3 songs and couldn't muster the interest to listen to the whole album, quite generic, but hey for what it's meant to be it could be decent. But MP can use AMob as an outlet for his "RAWR METAL" desires and do more interesting things elsewhere. He was always interested in the AMob kind of stuff, it was creeping into DT as well. But aaaanyway I need to listen to Flying Colours.

I understand your point, but keep in mind that the songs that you heard (Indifferent and Undaunted probably) are the best songs even if they are really generic. The album as a whole is mediocre. Good for Mike I guess but I'd prefer Flying Colors to be his main project.

The first half of the album and Infinite Fire are some really strong catchier prog cuts; the only truly major flaw of the album is definitely the unevenness of the flow and quality, something they sadly barely fixed on their second one.
