Great review, this sounds interesting though I doubt Rasp really wants me to go anywhere near music he's had a part in producing :P

who is jizzing over it?

this is the first time i or the other two of my friends involved have made recorded music public, and we're pretty proud of what we've done. the band as it is now has existed for barely 3 months, so coming in here and just posting 'it's okay' doesn't give you any credibility like you think it does. if you didn't like it or have any issues with it, at least explain yourself rather than claiming superiority because you aren't 'jizzing' over it

pop rock band Grandmother lay down some catchy lite pop tunes on 'family time;' a classic that recalls the days of the carpenters and the mamas & the papas

I think that there are a lot of choppy transitions that definitely ruins the flow of some songs. Also the drumming seems to be a bit overbearing in my opinion and kind of flushes out the other instruments. Overall it just seems like pretty standard hardcore/sludge, it doesn't really jump out at me at all. Like I said before, it's not bad, it just doesn't do much for me.

I'm not claiming superiority either, how many times have you just come in a thread and said "it sucks" or "its okay" etc...? I'm not trying to gain credibility, when I say it's okay, it's because I think it's okay.

the only reason I've asked people to listen to this (and hence the reason this review exists) is to get feedback. when I say an album sucks or is okay I'm fairly certain the artist doesn't give a shit what I think

also B-man, don't get me wrong, but a lot of the sludge/hardcore you go apeshit over is garbage so hopefully you understand why I had to get narky at your comment

Yeah I understand dude, I guess it all just comes down to our differences in tastes. I didn't mean to offend and I have massive respect for someone going out and creating/releasing music so kudos for that, but personally this just isn't my type of thing I guess.
