It's like putting Hitchcock in the same room with contemporary horror and suspense film makers.

exactly. Djent is a shit term which should be associated with the mass movement of shit bands ripping these guys off. not with the shugg

Yes jwt fucking exactly how I feel, it's just a dirty and disrespectful word at this point that implies a band is gimmicky shit playing 8 strings

Yep, Meshuggah has depth, their music has jazz influences, it's technical yet fierce and there's a method

behind the madness. I'm not going to go as far to get on my knees and giving the band fellatio but they're a

talented group with structure and a backround in music. Most contemporary djent bands are 24 year old high

school dropouts who can't read music who pound away on their guitar, tremelo picking the same 3 different

riffs in random orders with the reverb jacked up with some kid who works the night shift at Sunoco screaming

his guts out to some random words that sound "cool" and "violent" that he wrote on the back of a domino's

pizza box because he was too lazy to look for paper.

Played this for my neighbors this afternoon, given that they woke me before time. I'm sure the thuds in Break Those Bones at full volume made their stomachs turn. Good times
